6. Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear (upcoming IOS game)

An official expansion for the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition from 2012. It was developed by Overhaul Games and serves as a story bridge between the first and the second installment in the Baldur’s Gate series. In the game, we face a sinister crusade led by a warrior known as the Shining Lady who is also a bhaalspawn.

Siege of Dragonspear introduces four completely new companions that can join our party. The title also offers a new character class, new locations, quests, items, spells, and so on. On the technical side, the expansion does not deviate from the original game released three years earlier. We can start the adventure using a character imported from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, and then export it to Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition upon having finished the expansion.
This is Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition expansion pack

Siege of Dragonspear is a large expansion to Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition – a 2012's remastered version of the cult isometric RPG released on PC. This title, originally known as Adventure Y, is a bridge between the first and the second installment in the Baldur’s Gate series, offering roughly 25 hours of gameplay. Just as the two enhanced editions, the expansion for Apple iOS too was created by Overhaul Games, a division of Beamdog.

Story

The story in the expansion connects the storylines of Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II, although it faces us with a completely new threat. Killing Sarevok (the main antagonist from the first game) theoretically should have saved the world from the evil spawn of Bhaal. Alas, Siege of Dragonspear reveals that the victory celebration was premature, for an evil crusade is marching down from the north, led by a mysterious, charismatic female warrior called Shining Lady. The rumor has it she too, like the game’s protagonist, is a Bhaalspawn. The player has to set off on a quest to face her. This gives a start to another adventure, whose climax occurs in the eponymous stronghold of Dragonspear, where you eventually confront the enemy. The ruins of the stronghold stand over a portal to the Nine Hells that was once used to launch a demonic invasion on the Sword Coast.

Game-play

Among the new features implemented in Siege of Dragonspear, the most essential, right after new quests and locations to explore, are four new companions who can join your party: Captain Schael Corwin (a human archer), Voghiln the Vast (a skald from the north), M’Khiin Grubdoubler (a goblin shaman), and Glint Gardnersonson (a gnome with combined abilities of a cleric and a rogue). The companions' descriptions reveal another novelty – playable shaman character class. Besides, there is no shortage of new items, spells, etc. We should also mention a new difficulty level – Story Mode – prepared for the players who simply want to enjoy the story without having to go through multiple fights

Interestingly, it is possible to import a saved game from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition to continue playing with your character from the base game. What is more, after completing Siege of Dragonspear you can transfer the accomplishments of your heroes into a new adventure in Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

Game modes

Siege of Dragonspear offers the same play modes as the base game. Hence, you can complete the story campaign either solo or in a group of six cooperating players. Like before, the co-op mode is cross-platform, which means that PC players can play together with users of other gaming platforms.

Technology

Just as previous games in the series, Apple iOS version of Siege of Dragonspear is based on the classic technology offered by the Infinity Engine. However, the developers refurbished the engine and introduced some changes in the user interface.

5. Torchlight Mobile (upcoming IOS game)

Developed by Fedeen Games, Torchlight Mobile is a spin-off to a popular hack-and-slash game series. The title was developed from scratch with mobile devices in mind, and thus it is not a simple conversion of any of the previous installments.

Torchlight Mobile invites you into a classic fantasy universe, as it stands on the brink of destruction at the hands of servants of darkness. Obviously, the task of defeating the evil forces and saving the world falls down on the player. You can pick any of the four playable character classes: Berserker, Engineer, Outlander, and Embermage, each one representing a completely different profession and requiring different play style.

In a typical action RPG manner, the gameplay boils down to fighting hordes of monsters, developing your character’s skills, and upgradeing their equipment, e.g. by combining several weaker items into one more powerful. Torchlight Mobile features slightly cartoonish artworks, characteristic of the core games in the series.

Torchlight Mobile is a mobile rendition of a popular action RPG series that belongs to a sub-genre commonly known as hack-and-slash, aimed at Apple iOS based platforms. The game works on free-to-play business model with microtransactions. Torchlight Mobile was created by Fedeen Games. The project was developed from scratch with mobile devices in mind, in other words, this is not a conversion of any of the previous installments in the series, but a completely new product.

Story

Torchlight Mobile invites you into a classic fantasy universe, which stands at the brink of destruction at the hands of the servants of darkness. The task of defeating the evil and saving the civilization is in the hands of the player. The game’s story, however, has no real meaning and serves simply as a background for the gameplay.

Game-play

The game offers four playable character classes. You can choose from the Berserker, famous for his battle rage, the Engineer, a master of crafty devices, the Outlander, firearm specialist, and finally, the Embermage who wields elemental magic. The professions are vastly different from one another and require the player to use completely different tactics. In terms of game mechanics, Torchlight Mobile is a classic hack-and-slash and most of the time you engage in combat against hordes of enemies, develop your character, and constantly upgrade your equipment. The latter aspect is supplemented by a system of combining several items into a single, more powerful one.

Technology

Torchlight Mobile for Apple iOS features attractive, slightly cartoonish 3D graphics. The controls are based on a virtual game pad and let you quickly access all essential options.

4. FNAF World (upcoming IOS Game)

A spin-off entry in the popular horror series, Five Nights at Freddy’s, created by independent developer Scott Cawthon. Unlike full-scale games from the series, FNAF World hits much more joyful tones and belongs to a different genre altogether – it is an RPG game, inspired by productions like Final Fantasy, in which we side with the deadly toys featured in previous titles and help them in their fight against mechanical creatures.

The gameplay focuses on exploration of the eponymous realm and turn-based battles. We can recruit all the toys from Five Nights at Freddy’s universe to our team, each of them having unique attacks and special abilities. There is also an option of activating their alternative forms to modify their behavior, strength, and abilities. The game is presented in colorful, fabulous visuals and features humorous animations.

FNAF World is special, spin-off entry in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. The title, developed for Apple iOS, is an RPG inspired by similar console productions (e.g. Final Fantasy). Not only it represents a different genre, unlike the previous games in the franchise created by Scott Cawthon, but is also much more joyful in tone, significantly diverging from the atmosphere of horror of the four main games.

Plot

In FNAF World we play as scary toys and support them in their fight against mechanical creatures. During our adventure we explore the eponymous realm seeking for a way to halt enemy’s expansion.

Gameplay

Battles against enemies are turn-based, like in typical Japanese RPG games, and the characters possess unique skill and attacks. Player’s team can consist of any toys from the Five Nights at Freddy’s games. Many of them have alternate forms, which we can activated to change their behavior, strength, and skills.

Technology

Five Nights at Freddy’s games could never boast astounding graphics, and FNAF World on Apple iOS isn’t any different. But the colorful, fabulous style goes hand in hand with precise and humorous animations, all of which make a perfect fit to the game’s spirit.

3. Albion Online (upcoming IOS Game)

A free-to-play MMORPG set in a fantasy world and a debut project of the German developer Sandbox Interactive. The game’s universe is shaped entirely by players’ actions, who craft their own tools as well as build settlements and towns. The complex in-game economy system lets you e.g. rent production buildings or lease plots of land to other players. Apart from typical RPG story missions, an essential part of Albion Online are duels between players in PvP mode. The game’s world is split into 800 territories that can be conquered by players’ guilds, seeking valuable resources. Real-time combat uses mechanics typical of hack-and-slash games. While you are offline your territories are protected by a magic aura, so that battles can be fought only between online players. The game features a unique microtransaction system – a commission is drawn from transactions between players.

Albion Online is a free-to-play MMORPG with microtransactions. The game was released for PC and popular mobile devices (iOS/Android), offering cross-platform multiplayer. This is the debut title of the German studio Sandbox Interactive.
The game is set in a classic fantasy realm that resembles European Middle Ages with the addition of magic. This is a sandbox MMORPG, which means that most of the in-game events as well as the virtual economy are player-driven. All items and buildings are created by users – this, however, requires specific skills and resources. The most persistent players can even build their own villages and towns. You can also lease production buildings or lands to other players or guilds for an appropriate fee.
Albion Online for Apple iOS employs the free-to-play business model with optional microtransactions, but it is much different than the systems used in other similar games. While the developers do not sell any items, they charge players for making transactions in the game’s virtual store, which serves as a central bank and where the users can exchange currency and goods. The only way to obtain items and resources is to find them, produce them yourself or buy from other players. The virtual economy is enriched by an elaborate building system, letting you raise houses, factories, and stores.
Another core feature of Albion Online's sandbox structure is the player versus player (PvP) combat. The game’s world is divided into over 800 territories that can be conquered by player guilds yielding them extra resources as well as silver. Having a territory of your own is also necessary to set up a village. At the same time, each domain is protected by a magic field that prevents it from being raided while the owner is offline. A battle cannot start before a formal declaration of war is issued and both sides are logged in.
Battles are waged in real-time and employ hack-n-slash mechanics. Apart from battling with players you can also fight against monsters. For instance, at night your villages are often attacked by demons, so you have to protect them. What makes gear even more valuable, is the fact that when a player dies all things he carried remain at the body, free for anyone to pick up. Fortunately, in some zones the time for safe recovery of your gear is slightly prolonged, but in the most challenging areas you must be prepared to loose all your possessions

1. Darkest Dungeon (upcoming IOS Game)

A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.
Darkest Dungeon for Apple iOS is a turn-based, cRPG game, in a dark fantasy setting. It was developed by Red Hook studio. The action takes place in a grim fantasy world, with its technological level similar to that of the Middle Ages. The campaign mostly takes place in the ruins of an abandoned fortress and the enormous dungeons underneath it. The stronghold has been overrun by the forces of darkness due to the foolishness of the castle’s last owner, during your adventures you will uncover the history of his house and the truth about the filth which its members have brought upon this world.

In Darkest Dungeon, released for Apple iOS, you will spend most of your time exploring the endless corridors of the ruins, however, the quests themselves are constructed differently to those you would find in your ordinary RPG. The key to success in Darkest Dungeon is not the equipment of your adventurers but their emotional state. The members of your team are not stout-hearted heroes and the horrors you will encounter during your journeys will have a great influence on how they feel and behave, forcing great stress on them and sometimes changing their character. Everyone who you will hire to take part in your quests will have his own set of personality traits and will react to some encounters differently than the others (e.g. stumbling upon a corpse would cause some distress for the Highwayman but could at the same time strengthen the Crusader’s resolve). If you are to achieve success in Darkest Dungeon you have to monitor the stress levels of your adventurers, because otherwise they will succumb to depression and descend into madness.

The combat in Darkest Dungeon features a turn based system. The formation and placement of your heroes is the key and you have to think carefully about your every move, if one of your team dies his death is permanent and you will never have a chance of getting him back. The developers combined the old school depth of combat strategy with some newer features which allow you to counter your opponents and combo attacks. Monsters aren’t the only danger you will face on your road, traps could also prove dangerous just like internal conflicts within your party and darkness, the torches you carry burn out over time and spending too much time in darkness inflicts more stress on the members of your quest.

To keep your adventurers in a good mental condition you can relief their stress at a nearby town, where they can e.g. drink their sorrows away or get into a bar fight to help them forget about the horrors of the dungeons. The riches you gather can be used to renovate the town, which opens new parts of it, allowing you more options of stress relief and upgrading your heroes. The game also allows you to camp in dungeons themselves, making it possible to mend some of the damage your party suffered without abandoning the mission.

IOS 10.3 With All New Night & theater Mode & More..

Hey Guys,

According to renown leaker Sonny Dickson, the Cupertino company is gearing up to launch the first beta for iOS 10.3 on January 10th 2017.

When Apple pushed-out iOS 9.3 in March 2016, it introduced the new Night Shift feature, which modifies the amount of harsh, blue light emitted from your screen throughout the day, to improve the quality of your sleep. And it appears that 2017 will be no different.

According to leaker Sonny Dickson, iOS 10.3 will bundle a new feature, dubbed Theatre Mode.

Many have speculated that Theatre Mode could refer to a system-wide dark mode, like the one shipped in macOS and tvOS.

Based on evidence unearthed in the first beta of iOS 10, it looked like Apple was preparing to offer the new mode alongside the initial launch of the operating system update, back in September.

As for new features, there have been several hints that Apple could be releasing a brand new Theater mode.

The new “mode” should appear on the control centre and its icon will be in the shape of film lovers’ favourite snack: popcorn.

“Theatre mode” is hotly tipped to be a new way to dim your device at the touch  of a button.

There are suggestions it will make watching films easier on your iPhone.
But most importantly, Apple lovers are hoping the update will bring a fix for the 30 percent battery drainage bug that has seen iPhone 5 to iPhone 6S customers losing juice.

Mr Dickson told technology blog 9 to 5 Mac that his sources regarding Theatre mode suggest might “very well might be [an] enhanced version of Dark Mode.”

Apple is purportedly pretty keen on this new addition, since it will get its own Control Centre icon.

The new icon will resemble popcorn, according to Mr Dickson.
Whether the new Theatre Mode will also include functionality similar to Do Not Disturb – making it ideal when iPhone users want to quickly check their phone while watching a movie, remains to be seen.
The news comes days after leaked images appeared online, appearing to show a new Jet White colour scheme for the latest iPhone.
Some sources believed the glossy new colour, dubbed Jet White, would make an appearance in time for the holiday shopping rush.
While that deadline came and went, new video footage appears to rumoured the Jet White colour options on the iPhone 7 and larger iPhone 7 Plus.

The video was originally posted by Sonny Dickson, who has a long history of publishing photos of as-yet unreleased products and components.
